  • Local guide will meet you at Plaza Roma (by the Charles IV statue) fronting the Cathedral.

Route:

  • Plaza Roma  is dominated by the Manila Cathedral, the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila. The plaza is considered to be the center of Intramuros.
     
  • Manila Cathedral was originally the "Church of Manila" official established in 1571 by Fray Juan de Vivero, who arrived in Manila Bay in 1566.
     
  • Old City Walls Intramuros, though formally subject to the Viceroyalty of New Spain in Mexico City, became the capital of the New Spanish island dominion and flourished during the 17th and 18th centuries.
     
  • San Agustin Church and Monastery a Roman Catholic church under the auspices of the Order of St. Augustine, located inside the historic walled city of Intramuros in Manila. Completed in 1607, it is the oldest stone church in the country.
     
  • Barrio San Luis named after one of the seven barrios or subsections of Intramuros. The heart of this barrio along Gen. Luna Street and beside the San Agustin monastery are five houses: Casa Manila, Casa Blanca, Casa Urdaneta. Los Hidalgos and El Hogar Filipino.
